Hormone Balancing Green Juice
Lately I’ve been obsessing over getting enough greens into my diet. I typically have some kind of mixed raw greens for breakfast, a serving of steamed or cooked veggies during lunch, and one again for dinner. But even with all that I still don't feel like I get enough green stuff in my life.
So bring on the green juice and make it SUPER green, please.
Juicing is a wonderful way to flood your body with nutrients without having to chew on kale all day.
This particular recipe was inspired after a hormonal breakout. I did some research and decided to create a recipe that would allow me to drink 8oz./day for three days - and only have to juice every three days. This recipe offers me the nutrients I need to help balance my hormones while also helping to cleanse my liver, making it easier to get rid of excess estrogen.
This super green juice is cleansing, detoxifying, and nourishing making it perfect for balancing those whacky hormones.
The juice is loaded with Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, K, and contains: Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Manganese, Zinc, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Protein, Folate, Niacin, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Fiber, and so much more.
With all those amazing nutrients you can see why it will help you!
- 3-4 Green Apples
- 1 bunch of Kale or Swiss Chard
- 1 bunch of Dandelion Greens
- 1 large handful of Parsley
- 1 large handful of Cilantro
- 3 -4 Celery Stalks
- 1 Lemon
- 1 thumb-sized piece of Ginger
Thoroughly wash all fruit and veggies. Slices apples, and any other vegetables that may not fit in your juicer as is. Cut lemon and thumb-sized chunk of ginger in half. Once all fruits and veggies are prepared, began to juice a handful of each fruit or veggie (doing it this way keeps the flavors mixed). Keep in mind this recipe is for 3 8 oz. servings of juice, so you may have to empty your juice into a mason jar for storage (straining is optional) a couple of times before you're finished. Store in a glass air tight bottle like a mason jar and enjoy over the next three days.
*All produce should be Organic
For those of you that are new to juicing, I highly suggest you add more apple, lemon, or ginger. For the veteran juicers, enjoy this super green juice.
